In today's society, relaxation is an intergral part of everyday life. At the centre we offer all individuals the use of a sensory room; somewhere to enable them to reflect in a quiet, safe environment and atmosphere.
We all know life can be hectic, whether its juggling work and home life or trying to get everyone out the door in the morning. We understand that getting service users to and from the centre can add to the stresses and that is why we offer transport to our services users, depending on location and availability.
Having a cohesive, multidisciplinary team, all working together to achieve the same desired outcome is essential. We will work alongside other health professionals involved with the service user's care plan which can include attending meetings and reviews.
We are currently working alongside Kent Wildlife Trust on their "Painting the town green" project. This involves advice on how to improve the green space for wildlife and for our service users, as well as creating and maintaining minibeast homes and lifting logs, planting and up keeping plants and hanging baskets and sensory planting within the centre. Outdoors trips include pond-dipping and further understanding of wildlife and nature.
